G.I. JoeCon 2012 Box Set to Include Voltar

We're filing this one under if you told us it would happen, we still wouldn't believe you. The G.I. Joe Collectors' Club has revealed General Voltar as part of its G.I. JoeCon 2012 Operation: Bear Trap souvenir figure set. The butt of many jokes--thanks in part to his fuchsia-colored unitard--Voltar has gained a cult following among collectors from simply being of the most ridiculous characters ever created in the A Real American Hero era. The 2012 JoeCon set figure includes a stand, 2 assault rifles, a sword and a removable helmet, however and unfortunately, a condor is not included. G.I. JoeCon 2012 runs June 8 - July 1 at the Hilton Riverside Hotel in New Orleans.
