G.I. Joe Gets the Kre-O Treatment

Hasbro has revealed G.I. Joe will be getting the Kre-O treatment through a teaser image featuring the cover of G.I. Joe #1 and the A Real American Hero team depicted as kreons. The image notes February 2013--a month before the release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation--as the release date. While Toys R Us is noted as a distribution partner, it isn't clear if the sets will be exclusive to Toys R Us stores. We expect more details to be revealed next week at New York Comic Con, which we will be attending.

Deadline Looms for G.I. Joe Collectors' Club Subscription Service

The deadline to subscribe to the G.I. Joe Collectors' Club's Figures Subscription Service--midnight Central time September 4--is quickly approaching. If you were planning on "subbing-up" you'd better act quickly. While some figures may be made available at the club store for $32, only a subscription guarantees all 12 figures, plus the subscription-only thirteenth figure. It's also worth noting that according to the club "the deadline to sign-up for our Figure Subscription Service (FSS 1.0) is tonight" with the reference to FSS 1.0 and what we assume to be a hint (intentional or not) at additional subscription services in the future.
